Interesting. It's open-source, but it only runs on Cloudflare, so minimum cost looks like $10/month for personal/hobby instances.

I take it back: Cloudflare does not say that Wildebeest is a Mastodon fork, only that it is Mastodon-compatible. It's copyright by Cloudflare and licensed under Apache License 2.0.

What is so exciting about Cloudflate? That they make real visitors wait 30 before going to the site or that it exponentially increases the target surface? The last site I moved out of cloudflate was being continously exploited and Cloudflate was useless. They only slow down real users.

I'm not planning to use Cloudflare for anything. I just thought it was interesting to see a large well-known company investing effort on Fediverse software.

Never mind. I actually read the article. Not Mastodon code at all. It's a demo of their own platform's ability.
