One of our horses gets what we call "old lady pellets", which is some kind of high-protein substance. The last couple of weeks there have been two magpies hanging around, plotting their way to steal pellets. Tonight it was a dozen rosellas (lovely birds by the way). Cool. Now I know how to attract medium size birds. What I really need is to lure the medium sized birds far away from the house, because they are a threat to the little finches and fairy wrens and other small birds that are nesting in the garden.
