My taxes have been done for a few weeks now. All except for the decision over which parent gets to claim our dependant. The difference for me is about $1000 - not exactly chump change these days. But the other half still hasn't entered all the data - and probably won't until tomorrow night some time. Think I'll go home this evening and print out two forms, one with and one without. Write two checks; one for each possibility. At least that way I'll have it all done and ready to mail. I sincerely do not like waiting until the last minute. Computers break. Printers break - especially crunching through a ream of tax documents.

Authorities are still trying to figure out who lost their finger (which wound up in a bowl of fast-food chili). So far nobody has come forward to claim a missing digit. I think the lady did it all wrong. She's accused of filing lawsuits against other corporations and recently decided not to pursue this one. If she wanted the big bucks, she should have thrown it in a pickle jar and sold it on eBay under the heading 'Jerry Garcia memorabilia'.
