Saturday didn't turn out so bad after all.
Saturday didn't turn out so bad after all. To be fair, I still don't know if the bank found my account. I'll find out tomorrow if all my checks start bouncing. But I had not one, but two impulse guitar buyers. Haven't seen any of those in ages. Yesterday's stroll through the big warehouse stores was nevertheless sombering. Everybody is out of a lot of merchandise and relatively few shoppers wandering around these huge cavernous and quiet spaces. It's a desperation scene. The stores can't buy the things you want because they need the cash flow more than they need new merchandise. So everybody is cannibalizing inventory for cash. And without the cool stuff in house there's nothing interesting to buy and so the cycle continues...
Don't know how the TV interview turned out. I didn't watch. Didn't set the VCR. Don't even know if it aired at all. Guess it's a sign of age. Had my fifteen minutes long ago.
Think I've got the answer... End the whole crisis and avert war and suffering and the general deterioration of the quality of life for all peoples on earth. Here goes... You guys get rid of Saddam. He's an embarrassment. We'll get rid of George. He's an embarrassment. Deal?
