You have to wonder how much is hype and how much is real. I guess Wal-Mart and Macy's a having a good day today - the first shopping day of Christmas. My season is off to a whimpering start. The local newspaper reports that all the downtown merchants are going to have a 'shop locally' day sidewalk sale next week. Glad I read the newspaper once in a while because nobody bothered to tell any of the downtown merchants of these plans.
