It was ten seconds into his speech.
It was ten seconds into his speech. My first words - "That is not Saddam.". Now the CIA is trying to answer that question definitively. Sure, it looked like him. But the first thing wrong with the picture was reading from a prepared text. And reading it word for word. Saddam is quite capable of speaking his mind, and his words drip with sarcasm. This guy's words didn't drip.
Darn right it would have been a real coup if we could've gotten him in the first round of missiles. Maybe yes, maybe no. We'll find out eventually. But that places us in a new moral dilemna. By my watch, he still had a half hour to leave the country. Whether or not he actually would have is irrelevant. We set the deadline and we welched on the deal.
It's only slightly of note that with all the 1-ton bunker busters we lobbed in, the Red Cross claims only one death and fourteen injuries. This comes when they've acknowledged the attack was against people, not facilities. Look guys, if you're in this thing, you better remember quickly how to shoot straight. They taught you in basic training. In fact, it's a lot like 'Use the force, Luke'.
Today the rockets are flying and things are happening. A couple of wells have already been blown. We didn't get in there quick enough. It promises to be quite an interesting day.
Another tornado, another trailer park. Georgia this time. We gotta' find these terrorists and stop them.
