Bechtel won the contract to rebuild Iraq. Of course due to security concerns nobody else was allowed to bid. Do you own any shares of Bechtel? Of course not. It's a private corporation, like all the major defense contractors. That way there's no scrutiny of how much money they make. But you'd be surprised how many loyal republicans own these otherwise secret shares. If Enron was still around, my guess is that they would've gotten the oil contract.
