Strange, the store room smells like hops.
Strange, the store room smells like hops. You know, the leafy stuff they put in beer. I haven't been to a brewing supply house recently. This all started when I moved the extra guitar cases in there. Hmmm. Somebody smuggling hops out of Canada in guitar cases? Stranger things have happened.
Phase I of the shop's revival is pretty much a done deal now. Everything that counts has arrived. Now I use that to kickstart phase II. I'm overstocked on most all of the daily sundries so I get a few days to look at catalogues and make wish lists for the next round. Speaker cabinets, MIDI interfaces, software. A mixer or three. Won't be buying any more guitars for a few weeks. Unless I sell a lot, and that's always possible.
I junked Quicken and went back to Excel for Accounts Receivable. But I made a monthly template so it will scale this time. I'll use Quicken for Accounts Payable and managing the checkbook. It does OK with that. QuickBooks is toast. Problems solved. Now I just have to finish migrating the transactions for this month.
Hmmm... I notice that one of the effects of the last round of layoffs at AOL/TimeWarner is that the Headline News anchors are getting incredibly cute. No more Lynn and Anna. They've moved on. Replaced by nubile and fertile babes. Life is grand...
