So the Bay Area bridges are now a concern. Darn. I really don't have any huge desire to spend an extra hour to drive back through Tracy. Some thoughts from the road... This seems to have been an especially fertile year for skunks. Dead skunks everywhere. Or maybe it was just late harvest marijuana. Cops everywhere. Guess this spells the end of the 90 MPH drive down I-5. Hazmat teams along the freeway as well. I hear they've got National Guard troops on the bridges. What a strange reality we now live in.

Speaking of skunks, I've been thinking about this idea literally for years. Capture skunk scent and bottle it and sell it. You'll make a zillion dollars. Everybody I've talked to has told me I'm crazy, but I insist there's a huge untapped market for skunk perfume/cologne. I'd buy it in a second. Pungent and distinctive. Remember Patchouli oil in the 60's/70's? Put it on the counter at one of those goth clothes stores and it will fly off the shelves. As soon as it hits the high schools you'll be raking in money by the truckful. OK, let's be fair - if you read these words and have the means to accomplish it, give me a cut. OK? Still think I'm nuts? Consider how much has been raked in over the years on deer piss.
