Fall back day. All those clocks.

Fall back day. All those clocks. All those instruction manuals to pull out. Or maybe they'll just stay an hour off for six months. Like I've never done that before...

The sun is poking it's pointy little head out up here in the pacific northwest. What a relief. I feel a bit like a drowned rat. Looked at some real estate yesterday. I'll be polite and not go into specifics because I'm a bay area guy myself and hate it when people tell me what the prices are elsewhere. No, I'm not looking to buy anything here, although I probably should. Some of these houses put mine to shame. But there are still warm places on earth with reasonable prices also.

The thing that gets me is that not one of the new homes I've seen has yet taken into consideration that people might want more wiring in their home. So unless you get a separate contractor to intervene in the building process, it's still months of running cables and ruining brand new walls. Am I the only person on earth who sees connectivity as a neccessity? I doubt it. The real funny one was the home with the built-in computer desk. It had a power receptacle, but not even a phone/modem jack nearby without destroying plaster. What could they be thinking? Or was this some plan they snipped out of an architecture book in 1981 before people thought much about being online?
