Was frankly amazed at the ratio of high school chums that are looking at the reunion photos on high speed pipes. A much higher percentage than the general population.
Another interesting tidbit culled from the web logs is that an obscene number of you are all employed by a large California bank. Guess that stands to reason since Devil Valley became a major finance hub in the 80's.
Devil Valley certainly changed since I went to school there. Hardly recognized the streets I used to frequent. Suppose that would be true anywhere, as you always hold onto an image of the place you grew up. I'm certain somebody returning to Silicon Valley after a decade or two would be equally shocked.
Now that it's later in the day, my site's been serving up reunion pics solidly for the last 20 hours. PHHS folks are coming in from Shasta, and Albuquerque; to Ohio and South Carolina. 140 of you at last count, but I expect that will hit 200 before midnight. If you're reading this, take a break. You'll get the images twice as fast (or more) if you wait a day or so until the frenzy dies down. Though my connection bandwidth is pretty good when I download, my upload speed (how fast I can get stuff to you) is limited to about double modem speed. So if there are four of you grabbing pictures at once, you do the math.
And I suppose I'll have to surf to a local news site to find out what the heck happened on Central Expressway this morning. Must've been a police incident, (i.e. shots fired) as it takes more than even a major wreck to totally shut down a major commute artery during rush hour. Even a two-lane wreck wouldn't be enough, as you could still get by on the median - as has been done several times in the past.
