Moved a lot of dirt today. Still I'm not even 10% done with clearing the old yard out. More sprinkler lines from hell. I'm now convinced the guy that installed them was either dyslexic or under the influence of some psychedelic substance and got a bit carried away with a ditch digger. There can be no other explanations. There's one "loop" which goes pretty much around the entire yard, and ends with a sprinkler head not 6 inches from where the line began. Why not just put a sprinkler at the beginning of the line and save 75 feet of pipe? Doh... As it is, it's also about ten inches from yet another "loop" and sprinkler head. So there are these two sprinklers right next to each other, one of which had to circle the entire yard to get there; and about 2/3 of the yard is out of coverage range of anything. I'm gonna' haveta' get stoned just so I can follow his lunacy. I've got ditches going off in every direction now. It looks like a maze. In fact, it is.
