Plumber didn't show today either. Sigh...
Plumber didn't show today either. Sigh... But no matter because I took matters literally into my own hands and got everything hooked up. It's done (well, I haven't yet cleaned up; might save that for tomorrow because it's getting late). Garbage disposal, dishwasher, faucets, sprayer, everything. And nobody to blame but myself if it leaks. So far it doesn't (knock on wood), but I'm running the dishwasher test now. That's the last test. Yay! A kitchen again, but the events of the last couple of days made it a bit anti-climactic.
The website was knocked offline most of the day. I just reset the DSL router a couple of minutes ago and everything magically came back. If I would've known it earlier I would've fixed it around noontime. Anyway if you sent me mail, it got relegated to the troubelsome delivery pile somewhere and will slowly make its way to me in the next few hours. If you get a bounce send it again. But I hope nobody bounces in less than 24 hours. 3 days is usually the norm for re-delivery attempts but everybody likes to tweak these things these days.
I'm a bit annoyed at the UI (user interface) on the dishwasher. It's one of those split drawer deals where you can run two loads separately. Whenever it's running (and presumably everything is working correctly) it's got a damn smiley face on the LCD panel. My electric razor does the same thing - it when it's fully charged - which it always is because I leave it plugged in. UI designers, please, please -- only make something when there's something wrong; not when everything is working as it should.
Update: the dishwasher also likes to beep for a few seconds whenever a load is done or whenever you open the door to throw in new dishes. I can pretty much guarantee that I'm gonna' void my warranty and go in and snip the damn speaker wires.
