Last phase of the kitchen is underway.
Last phase of the kitchen is underway. Haven't yet heard from the plumber on hooking up the sink, but everything else will be ready tonight. I can hook it up temporarily if his schedule is overbooked.
Oh, I see we've got a network hack attack in progress. I've got over 60 untraceable domains from all corners of the globe trying to hit a file I don't have. Looks like they're madly trying to find somebody who does.
Counter top dude is way overdue. Damn service windows. I've been told he'll make the end of the service winodw, which keeps him here most of the evening. Oh well, think I'll go move some dirt in the meantime.
This should be a relatively easy physics problem, but it's got me stumped. Here goes... I removed a bunch of dirt from an enclosed area. I then reduced the size of the enclosed area significantly; then put the dirt back. I should have extra, right? A lot extra since I also undid twenty years of compaction by moving it. But instead I'm quite a lot short. This is extremely puzzling. I think somebody must've come into my yard and stolen a truckload or two of dirt. That's OK, since I was thinking I'd have to pay to remove it anyway. But it is a puzzlement...
The installers (two of them) finally showed up just as I had given up completely on them at 5:30. Supposed to have been here between one and four. Well, that still beats a re-schedule so they started in and were done by nine. Now it's down to the very last thing - hooking up the sink and dishwasher. Plumber is busy until Tuesday. Oh they did a great job by the way regardless that they were late. I suppose folks demand perfection in their countertops and these guys have been through it all. They were literally terrified to ask me to use the vacuum cleaner and the restroom. What, you didn't bring a port-a-potty on your truck? I bought 'em pizza. Being the late hour I really had to consider offering a beer, but then remembered that these guys were using power tools on my new counter and sanity prevailed.
