A scientific paper telling how to contaminate the nation's milk
A scientific paper telling how to contaminate the nation's milk supply has been pulled because it is quote 'a roadmap for terrorists'. In describing the effort to halt publication of the piece, a major three initial news organization tells you pretty much all anybody needs to know. A one paragraph terrorism how-to, published world-wide. I read it. I could pull it off. It's the same news service that published the pictures of Saddam in his underwear. Then it strikes me. They are a news service. They are in the business of selling things that happen. If nothing bad happens, business is bad. If bad things happen, business is good. They have an interest in making it easy for bad things to happen...
It's been in the drawer next to my bed for a long time. It's time to pull it out again. Time to put it on. Keep it on. I only shake my head in embarrassment. Why did it take me so long to reach this decision? It's unpopular. I will probably be ridiculed publicly and spat on. But it is what I have to do. It is a 'peace symbol'. Has anybody noticed that since the election, all public discourse that is in opposition to war seems to have vanished?
