Once again the pledge of allegiance is headed for the supreme court. It was thrown back last time on a technicality because the guy who filed the suit was doing so on behalf of a kid that he had no parental rights for.

In my rebellious years (note that I won't say exactly when they were or if they ever ended...) - I would just blank out the offending text. One nation.... <silence>... indivisible...

Nowadays I blank out the entire text. I don't find it nearly as offending to claim that there's a nation somehow united by a diety than the entire premise of vowing to serve a piece of cloth.
