Back to work again.
Back to work again. Another reason to hate Mondays (Tuesdays in this case) is the spam which gets sent over the weekend. 146 emails over the weekend (that's just to my work account) and all but 11 were pure spam. Of those 11, 7 were Internet jokes I've seen probably a hundred times before, passed on by a different family member or friend than last time. "Didja' hear the one about...?" Yes, thank you and I don't wish to hear it again. That leaves 4 (out of 146) messages that had any relevance whatsoever. In my personal mailbox somebody signed up for a porn site and used one of my vanity domains as an email address so they wouldn't get the spam. Great. Twenty messages to that address in 24 hours from a bucket full of filth sites with no way to opt out. Just wait until the address gets into the central filth database...
Oh well, that's an address I don't use directly so I think I'll redirect it. Where to? The first of the addresses which started the spamming of course. I could probably write a local function to return to sender, but I can instead forward to sender without it ever hitting my server...
The new camera arrived this evening. I spent about three hours trying to sort out what appeared to be a defect. Finally figured it out - the defect wasn't in the camera but in the documentation, which was completely wrong. After trying about 200 variations of sequences to accomplish the task, I finally found one that worked.
