Another day passes with any free time spent toiling away on the diary software. Finally got it to generate an intelligible page yesterday. Ah, the small victories. Corrected a few dozen syntactical errors in the code. Now to fix all the broken links. It's a calendar based system. So I guess even if I get it all working there's not much sense in rolling it out before the first of the year.

Remember, an int is not always 16 bits. I'm not sure, but if the 80386 is one
step closer to Intel's slugfest with the CPU curve that is aymptotically
approaching a real machine, perhaps an int has been implemented as 32 bits by
some Unix vendors...?
