It was highly interesting to hear Condoleeza even use the words 'a two-state solution' w/r/t the mideast. This implies that at least somewhere in the inner circle other solutions have been discussed and that at least one of them is not a two-state solution.

Maybe I'll take a real day off tomorrow, maybe I won't. Sigh. I really should just get in the car and drive. But events may take over. One car is full of books that won't fit in the store. The other is filled with new bookshelves. Somehow I get the feeling that I'll probably spend more time with the contents of the vehicles than in either of them.

So I went in and took care of at least one bookshelf today and emptied both cars. So how to spend the day tomorrow? There're trout and there's Star Wars ©. Hmmm... Trout. Star Wars. Don't do this to me.

All those fertile brown eggs I bought last month? Not a one of 'em hatched. This is a severe breach of consumer confidence. I'm gonna' sue.

The fireworks at Great America kinda' capped off the day. Nice display. Watched it from the balcony. Left a kind of purple haze across the valley floor. Is it tomorrow, or just the end of time?

The magician is seated in his high chair and looks upon the world with favor.
He is at the height of his powers. If he closes his eyes, he causes the world
to disappear. If he opens his eyes, he causes the world to come back. If
there is harmony within him, the world is harmonious. If rage shatters his
inner harmony, the unity of the world is shattered. If desire arises within
him, he utters the magic syllables that causes the desired object to appear.
His wishes, his thoughts, his gestures, his noises command the universe.
