Friday the thirteenth. Good, my lucky day.

Friday the thirteenth. Good, my lucky day. But I always was just a little odd. Despite the spotty Christmas sales, the numbers are starting to look good. The business actually started running cash flow positive a month or two ago, though it took a while to translate that into a bank balance. Sometime in the next few days I should hit my projected sales targets - 33% sales growth over the three year running average.

But it's decision time again... sigh. Pay the mortgage with whatever profit is left over or buy books. I need to buy books again - lots of them. The next week will determine whether or not I can do both this month. If it happens, it will be a watershed event and could probably be sustained for a while. If not, it could be next fall before I get another chance. Nothing like a little pressure...

Two cute ones walk in and ask to use the bathroom. Why certainly. Women judge men by how clean their bathroom is and I just cleaned it yesterday. We'll overlook the fact that it was only the second time this year...

The rumour mill is churning on the AOL layoffs. Seems the highly speculative plan is to assimiliate any remaining Netscapers into the Virginia headquarters and close the doors at AOL West. Netscape died long ago, but this is probably the final nail in the coffin.
