On to the next phase.

On to the next phase. Looks to me like I've just about wrangled out all the advantages of purchasing an existing business with a known brand. More and more, the current branding is turning into a liability. Time to change. But this will be a long-term endeavor with a definite phase-in. Otherwise it causes the dreaded consumer pickle known as brand confusion. The lag time is mostly determined by the Yellow Pages advertisement. I've already signed the papers for this year, so the current branding will be in effect at least that long, assuming the business is still viable a year from now. But the business has a new name. It'll soon have a new web site. Mountain View Music is a place, not much of a brand. I'll soon be free of the geographic distinction. Sorry, that's all the clues you get.
