Kind of a slow day at the store today; which is a bit sobering considering it's nine shopping days and the next to last weekend before Xmas. Oh well. We're not hurting as much as the department stores. I sold a guitar mid-afternoon which saved the day from being a total disaster. But that's life in retail. One can never predict whether one day will be better or worse than the next.

The real reason for the slow day may have nothing to do with the economy. It's freaking cold outside and us warm-blooded Californians are cranking up the heat and staying where it's nice and toasty.

It's been a while since I covered this topic, but it seems that somewhere around 98% of my website visitors are now automatons and viruses and only the remaining 2% are human visitors. Code Red 1 and 2 are mostly finit, but the root.exe hack is still going very strong. No, I don't know its official name - which is probably why it's so prevalent. Didn't make Headline News so nobody knows they've got it.
