Seems like all the news channels are covering the death of George Harrison. Wait a minute, I know that name. He used to play with some rock group, didn't he? Oh now I remember - he was one of those old geezers in the Traveling Wilburys.
Just kidding. Somewhere in thr garage I've still got a few Beatle 45's from the first wave. And then I stop to ponder the fact that artistic waves, just like hemlines seem to all be in sync to the beating of the war drums.
Another thing I gotta' say for George. This is the stuff that will probably escape the general press - his love for a beautiful woman and the story surrounding it. She inspired "Something" and later was the stuff of legend as the mystery woman behind Clapton's "Layla". Eric got her in the end and she destroyed him even further than he had already done to himself; and who knows where she is today... But I digress. This woman inspired a handful of the greatest love songs of all time.
