The interesting factoid gleaned from the year-end inventory

The interesting factoid gleaned from the year-end inventory was how little legacy merchandise I've got. I can name everything that's been sitting here since I bought the store. One cello, one soprano sax, three guitars and two basses. Maybe two dozen books. Some retired rental instruments in the attic. That's it. everything else is stuff that I bought - for better or worse. Some of it has been sitting here since my first shipment last January. But I also sold an astounding number of things. More than a hundred violins. A dozen pan-pipes went out some time ago. All the strange instruments went, like two bajo sextos, a couple of cuatros, and four or five accordions. A sousaphone. More than two tons of books. I've re-ordered a former annual supply of the violin primer four times now. Hmmm. Acoustic guitars, about 75-80. Electric, maybe a dozen. Probably won't need to order any more for a couple of years. Oh well. When the market speaks, you best oughta' listen.
