The challenge for the moment is an old and familiar one. Trying to keep a walkway cleared in the stock room. School band rental season began with a whimper, and still is pretty marginal. But school starts Monday. Everything could change overnight. In the meantime I gave up trying to display all of my available merchandise. To display an instrument, I need to find space for the instrument and its empty case during the time it is on display. The front of the store is literally filled with instruments. That means the store room is literally filled with cases. I only have to put a few things back in the box to come up with lots of extra space. So I'll just keep those in back. My secret stash. They'll have their day in the sun, but not today.
