Cool...

Cool... got a letter from AOL - they've extended the expiration date on stock options that were issued in or near Y2K and are of course currently worthless. Since I've got heaps of these worthless options I suppose I can't complain. Opens the (slight) possibility that they could have value before the new expiration which is next fall.

Aching brain from staring at the road - suppose I should chug some coffee and have a look at that router...

Just as I suspected, it was the power supply. That poses an interesting dilemna. Just buy a compatible power supply or get another router. Might have to go with a supply that's less aesthetically pleasing but is cheaper than buying a complete system. Then I looked and couldn't find the correct supply so dished out the cash for a new router. Same kind, but now they have a much beefier power supply. Go figure... Suppose there could've been problems with the old ones?

Why didn't I use the backup (?), you might ask. That's the one that sounds like a vacuum cleaner. I need to put it in a place like the garage where the constant noise won't be offensive. Could've used it short term. Anyway, now to reset all the clocks yet again. Everything in the house is blinking 12:00 at me.
