Processing rentals. Two hours of tedium.
Processing rentals. Two hours of tedium. 30 bucks worth of stamps. And it's all pointless. School is out in the next week or two and all the rentals will be coming back. Nobody is even going to open these invoices I'm so carefully preparing. Sigh...
Two rental cellos have already come back. Trying to find space for them. I'm expecting a dozen of the things to be returned in the next couple of weeks. Cellos in the farm yard, cellos in the barn, cellos driving Cadillacs to Washington DC.... I'm having nightmares about being swallowed up by a sea of cellos. Just glad they aren't string basses.
Closed the books on May. On the bright side, I had twice as many customers as in March. But you know there has to be a minus side or I wouldn't even bring this up. They're all spending significantly less money than in March - prior to this month it was my slowest month on record. I'll probably have to cut the air conditioning next month if this keeps up. Then it might be time to throw in the towel... Figure I'll hit break-even sometime in 2005, but I'll have been dumpster-diving for food for well over a year at that point.
