Sir, would you change my strings and tune my guitar please?
Sir, would you change my strings and tune my guitar please? I'm having trouble keeping it in tune. Uh, sure - let me have a look. Well you see part of the reason why it's kinda' hard to keep in tune is because you see - the neck is like broken off and hanging by splinters. You mean you didn't notice that it's like at a 45 degree angle and all these wood splinters hanging off and all? Wow. No. How do you suppose something like that happened? This happens all the time. Have to be polite. Here's the name of the game... If I take it in without pointing out that the neck is broken, they'll claim that there was nothing wrong with it. The reason they don't want to put the strings on is because they know the neck is about to snap and they'd rather I snapped it. That way maybe they'll get a free guitar out of the deal. Fat chance. I know this game pretty well now.
