Two potential romances shot down in one day.

Two potential romances shot down in one day. Oh well, I've been through worse; but it kind of puts a somber mood on an otherwise nice spring day. It was my own doing that messed things up - can't blame it on anybody else. One was an impossibility to begin with. An unrealistic fantasy. The other may have had short term potential, but no future. Both were equally doomed. When you've been alone this long, you tend to start reaching for even the improbable situations. After all, it's a situaton, better than none. Right? Wrong. Reality doesn't distort for long. It always comes back.

Arrived home from work and find water all over the upstairs bathroom. Looks as though there might be a crack in the toilet bowl, because it's seeping around the bottom. So much for figuring out what I'm gonna' be doing this evening. I just hope there's no long term water damage - will soon find out.

Nope, no major damage. turned out to be one of the rubber washers separating the tank from the bowl; and leaked from the tank down the inside. Could've just replaced that, but this toilet has water stains and scratches that won't come out and was destined for replacement anyway. Elapsed time one hour 53 minutes from disconnecting the old to turning the water on the new, and that included the trip to Home Depot. Not that's it's a particularly tough job, but I anticipated it taking much longer.
