Today it's a math problem. No, really, it's not difficult.

Today it's a math problem. No, really, it's not difficult. The New England Journal of Medicine reports that for every US battlefield death, there are nine 'survivors' or wounded. OK, we've had twelve hundred some-odd deaths. How many soldiers have been wounded? See, it's not hard. About 10,800 give or take a hundred or two. How many soldiers do we have there? Geez, I don't remember anymore - they keep changing it. Say 150,000. So now what are the odds that any one soldier is gonna' get killed or injured? About one in twelve.
