The day flew by. Non-stop activity from the outset.
The day flew by. Non-stop activity from the outset. Orders to call in, orders arriving, and a steady stream of browsers all the way until about 7:15, which was when the last wave arriving seconds before closing finally filtered away. More to do tomorrow. Filling in all the reeds and trumpet mouthpieces. Putting something like three-dozen band instruments within 2 feet of the cash register. Gathering the rental prices so I can rattle them off quickly.
Oops. I forgot. I've got two dozen violins arriving tomorrow. That should kick off the day. You would be shaking your head in disblief - as I did, if you knew what they cost me, but I'm not talking. I mean if they turn out to be the lousiest violins on the face of the planet, I can still sell them as Christmas ornaments and make bundles of dough. The fact that somebody in China can manufacture a violin even of firewood quality for the price I'm getting it is unbelievable. I really don't want to know what these laborers are paid, thank you. Course they're in a communist state. Don't have to worry about any of the necessities of life. That's all taken care of. So what difference if they're paid at all?
