The diary generator saga continues.

The diary generator saga continues. I reversed my thinking from the other day. Assuming I can import my old archives, I could roll it out any time. Whenever it's ready. So... I wrote an archive file format translator. Took about an hour. I had already anticipated that I'd spend a week or three on the task. So, that's a good thing. The bad? I found out that the software I'm using was only written in the last year. My archives go back to early 2001. Nobody has ever tried to scale it thousands of entries before. Until now. Gad, it takes about half an hour to re-generate all the files. That's not good. Now to figure out how to keep it from processing archives that are over a year old. No need to keep re-generating the same old data. Those pages don't need to change anymore. I reserve the right to remove this beta preview link.

And you thought we had a political circus. The fiasco in the Ukraine is much more entertaining. Stolen election. Mass protests. Opposition leader gets poisoned with some kind of blister agent or dioxin.
