Rental season is in full swing now.
Rental season is in full swing now. It picked up just after the last diary entry and has been pretty much full-tilt boogie ever since. Today is probably the last big day, then it should start to peter out. Didn't rent all the instruments. Still have quite a few of everything but kid-size cellos. Nobody else has 'em either. Today is the day that most of the stores run out of everything. Maybe I will, maybe not. Either way, whenever the other stores run out, the business should come my way. We all should run out. If not, that kinda' says what happened to the music programs. A lot of them seem to have survived, but I know we lost at least a few. Only other thing I ran out of was floor stops for cellos. Did a lot better than last year, when I was running out of critical stuff daily.
A Polish led army is taking over 'security' in southern Iraq. They've got troops from - lessee... Hungary, Nicaragua, Bulgaria, Romania, Thailand, and a bunch of other sixth-world countries. Oh man, we've got this coalition rolling, don't we? The Poles are going to lead the Tonganese into battle. This could be hilarious. Or, it could be worse than that. That's a whole lot of people from a lot of countries now directly involved in our dirty little war.
