It came and went with little fanfare, but version 1.
It came and went with little fanfare, but version 1.0 of the Mozilla browser finally was released last month. It took a long time to finish it, (remember software is never finished), but they did good. Finally got a few of the mail processing capabilities that I'm used to from ten years ago and tried to gain support for ever since version 2 of Netscape. Better late than never...
11AM. Open the store. There's nobody on the avenue. Most everything around me is closed. This could be even a shorter day than I thought.
1:15PM. Closed. 1 customer, and he had already arranged to be here. Hmmm. Why is there a big truck outside my house? Think it could be them terrorists? Ohmigosh - the truck is owned by the International Advocates Organization. What do you think they might be advocating? Doesn't say. Just had a sudden urge to go and uhm - put on a flak jacket. Well of course I've got one. Don't you?
But seriously I never really expected any massive attack on the US today. It would have been expected. In this case the whole ball game is about the unexpected.
