Don't get me wrong. I'm neither for nor against this particular war as far as the justifications go. I just think that lobbing bombs on folks is a darn messy way to solve disputes in general.

Speaking of generals, do we have anybody that can step in and replace Tommy? He might be in over his head. The spearhead maneuver was perfected by Germany as it rolled across Europe in the late 30's. It's now a classic maneuver taught in all the military schools. Air cover followed by armored columns followed by troops and all fed by supply chains. If done correctly, it's darn near unstoppable. Pieces of the arrow break off to protect the supply chains. It's this last piece that apparently nobody spent too much time thinking about. And it's a critical piece of the logistics. That's why they're sending in the 4th division now. The words 'cover your ass' take on new meaning.
